Gayle: thirties, on the verge of a real breakdown or a real breakthrough
Seriocomic
From Off Compass:
Suffering from a lack of direction in her life, Gayle missed her exit home from work and wound up a thousand miles away at the Graceland Bar in Garden City, Kansas. She talks into the wee hours of the morning with the bartender, Elvis, and now confesses that the loneliness she thinks she left behind has followed her here.
